Try Venetian Rowing: Prova la voga!
TRY YOUR HAND AT VENETIAN ROWING
Lessons & Costs
Choose one of three different ways to explore the city by Venetian oar: classic, for food enthusiasts, and the spectacular Grand Canal. Make your choice and book online yourself.
THE CLASSIC
Venetian Rowing Lesson
This is our original introduction to Venetian rowing. Row your batela through the typical, picturesque canals and discover a Venice that can only be experienced from the water—by oar.
To start your lesson, your instructor will introduce you to our hand-crafted traditional batela, and demonstrate the basic stroke for you. With the boat still moored, each of you will then give it a try, and once everyone is comfortable, we’ll depart!
As we glide along the wide, quiet canals, each rower will take turns and if you like, we’ll find a spot where you can also try the steering position. We’ll then return through the evocative side canals back to the original meeting point.
